Prior to the shredding I called to make sure we were on the same page regarding price and was told we were. What if the driver is tired, sick, or grumpy that day? Will he over fill the “tote” What size is the “tote”? Who determines how much can be fit in one “tote”?.Pro: You pay a flat fee for everything in this “tote” to be shred no matter what it is.Per “Tote” – Paper Shredding Companies will often charge a “per tote” or “per tip”.What size box are we talking about anyways? And how do we determine the price per box? What if the Box is only half full? ![]() So, the shredding client thinks this is only going to cost $50.00 then the paper shredding company arrives and charges $110 – leaving the customer frustrated. Cons: Shredding Companies often do not tell you about minimum fees upfront.Pros: It is easy for the shredding client to look in their basement and say I have 10 boxes, this is going to cost me $50.00.Per box – Document Destruction Companies will charge shredding clients a per box fee to destroy the records within their boxes.One-Time (Purge) Shredding Services – are designed for shredding customers who are cleaning out a warehouse, storage unit, shutting down a business, cleaning up after a disaster, or have the space to store their own documents until their end of life date.
